“ROAD TO DEVELOPMENT” – CROSS-BORDER COOPERATION PROJECT IN TBILISI, 2020 2021 GEORGIA !OPEN CALL!
The project “Road to Development” aims to enhance the professional, personal and social skills and competences of the participants to empower them with the ability to actively participate in the society and the long-term perspective of the project is to empower participants with motivation and tools to build on each of his new and valuable experience and keep his understanding of lifelong learning to contribute to building a society based on knowledge, social awareness and tolerance.
Objectives of the project are the following:
•To improve the capacity, through offering him a variety of learning opportunities while participating in the activities of the receiving organization;
•To provide information about youth related issues through non-formal education methods;
•To develop professional skills and competences in areas such as project management, project application writing,organizing events, graphic designing, social media & web-page administration;facilitating skills;
•Training skills. To develop personal skills and competences such as effective communication with people from different cultural backgrounds; defending opinions and ideas, improving his/her public expression; increasing self-esteem and better communication in a foreign language
Here are the main solidarity activities what we are planning to implement with our volunteers:
- Georgian Language Classes with a private teacher during 4 months.
- Office work – Project assistance with ongoing and annual projects of ICPI
- Development of personal projects for supporting the local community development
- Weekly activities of Generator 9.8 – Volunteers will be assisted by the local volunteers and they will get support from coordinator/ex-EVS volunteers, having experience in the field.
- Developing Social Campaigns, Events: Promoting European Values in Local society/ Community garden, ten-ten way,Solidarity corps promotion events, etc. ESC Volunteers will have possibility to organize various social events for local community with the involvement of locals. During planning and implementation, they will be assisted by the mentors/interns
- Working on visibility and promotion of ICPI – The participants will get basic course of web/Facebook development by our local volunteers and they will assist staff of ICPI with web development and PR activities of the organization.
- Activities in Kakheti Region- Cooperation with “Knowledge cafe”in Tsnori, Kakheti region- ICPI just started cooperation with one of the social Enterprise in Kakheti, they have interesting activates for elder and youngster people. Description of “Knowledge café” – in Tsnori
ESC volunteer will visit the Social enterprise twice a month and deliver various educational, entertainment,social activities for the local elders and youth.
They will be recorded by Local Radio “Hereti” and Local television “Internet TV” later on we will spread all this information broadly in social media.
- The second volunteer will be involved in organizing Activities for Empowering Woman in Georgia, especially in different regions outside of capital Tbilisi.
- Our ESC-volunteer will be responsible, with the support of the knowledge, initiatives and contacts of ICPI-team to organize those workshops. Depending on their fields of interest, they will develop workshops for local women, empowering their skills and reaching out knowledge. Topics will be discussed in cooperation with local organizations.
